Description
BELL & HOWELL 70DL 16MM CAMERAI have had this camera since 1972 when I used it as a young freelance photojournalist in my very first professional assignment covering the Presidential Conventions in Miami Beach. When I turned it in to the station they took the lenses off except the ones remaining and told me to keep it. Shortly thereafter I entered film school and for the last 50 years this camera has sat on countless bookshelves as a memory of that first assignment and my now ancient career behind the camera.
These cameras are eternal historical objects used for almost a century. The first Filmo was introduced in 1923. The price a Filmo camera in 1923 was 0.00, a fortune as you could buy a basic Ford Model T for 0.00
The motor operates and these cameras will run forever only needing a slight lubrication with sewing machine oil through the lubrication ports inside the camera. There are numerous lenses still available.
Please note: This camera and lenses are sold as-is.
A word of caution! Under no circumstances disassemble the camera. The clock spring will shoot out with force and there are more than a few instances of people having their throats cut futzing around.
