    Description

Howdy Folks, I've got a special one for y'all. I acquired this kit in non operable condition in need of a good CLA. This one was certainly a labor of love and I probably have about 7-8 hours in the restoration.
Please see the embedded gallery below for additional pictures and in-process photos of the CLA and the NOS faceplate.
I'll list all service I performed below, however what is special about this camera is that it has a NOS (new old stock) faceplate from the Rolleiflex factory. I got my hands on some original parts including never mounted faceplates. As you can see from the images, the face of the camera is pristine. The paint and chrome are stunning. I chose this camera to put a NOS plate on as it is complete with original box and accessories and I felt it was a good candidate for such an upgrade. It was a real pleasure to build out a time capsule like this and it is so cool to see it all in one place.
Prior to this posting the following service was completed:
Complete mechanical disassembly; remove front plate, taking lens optics, shutter unit, front standard, slow speed escapement and self timer mechanism. Remove focusing hood, ground glass and mirror. Remove full transport assembly, automatic frame counter and focusing cams.
Cleaned and re lubricated focusing cams with fresh lubricant.
Fully disassembled transport and frame counting mechanism down to all constituent components. Cleaned each individual part to remove expired lubricant and debris. Lubricated shutter cocking arm, main transport rotational surfaces and all transport gearing. Full reassembly and frame counter calibration after cleaning.
Removed slow speed escapement and soaked in solvent before lubricating escapement gearing, reinstalled into shutter and calibrated all speeds.
Cleaned and lubricated self timer unit.
Cleaned all shutter and diaphragm blades.
Cleaned front standard and removed accumulated debris surrounding shutter housing.
Replaced felt light seal between taking lens bezel and chassis.
Cleaned front and rear optical assemblies of taking lens - no haze, fungus, scratching or debris. Cleaned front and rear elements of viewing lens.
    Replaced mirror.
Replaced focus screen with a near-mint screen from a 3.5F that I cut to size.
    Performed focus calibration.
    Reconditioned original leatherette and re-glued.
    Polished all chrome surfaces.
    Cleaned interior film cavity.
Test roll shot to confirm all functions.
The accessories pictured are all included and have been cleaned. The close up set includes types #1 and #2. The Rolleikin kit is NEW and still has the original installation screws for the 35mm spool adapter as well as the original leatherette circles that Rollei gave you to cover up the spool side face after installation.
The price reflects the labor I put into the restoration, the complete nature of the kit and the rarity of a factory new faceplate. These are lovely cameras and I am partial to the MX-EVS in particular because they possess the quality and elegance of the later cameras but are a touch simpler and more reliable. The service rendered on this camera will keep it shooting for another lifetime if well taken care of.
    Thank you for looking.

I do all the work myself and have trained under a master repairman for 5 years. I am the technician at Pro Camera Inc. in Charlottesville, Virginia and I restore and sell cameras in my free time when I'm not fixing customer cameras during the work week.
I've repaired over 670 cameras since March of 2020 and have a repair failure rate of about 2.4%. I stand by my work. If you are skeptical, as you should be on eBay, check out my previous sales, feedback, or send me a message and I'd be happy to send you photos of the workshop or in-process photos of the camera you are interested in, as I often take photos to document a CLA.
