Rolleiflex Rollei Wide Angle- CLA'd by Harry Fleenor w/ new Maxwell Screen

For sale here is a very nice Rolleiflex Wide Angle Camera with 55 mm Distagon Lens. I bought it about 20 years ago and it has just sat, unused,
all this time, taking it out now and again to admire it and then returning it to its case. It was way too nice to take outside, and so now, I feel, it’s finally time to pass it along to someone who will truly appreciate it.
This one doesn’t look to have been used much at all in it’s life- there are a few small blemishes on it here and there but all in all, really very nice-much nicer than all the other Rolliewides I’ve seen- it doesn’t have that “handled” look to it- still very much tight and fresh feeling.
It was recently CLA’d by Harry Fleenor of Oceanside Camera Repair (summer 2020) so it’s all in top shape now. While it was there, I had him install in a new Maxwell bright screen- which really puts this on a whole other level. I wanted to get this checked out and in the best condition possible before I part with it.
Aside from its visual appearance: the focus has a nice smoothness to it with good resistance, shutter speed knob has a satisfying click, leatherette is nice and tight and no bumps or wear marks to it, everything fits accurately.
Quite an experience to hold one of these in your hands as they have a special aura to them. You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t familiar with that.
There are some signs though of it having been owned - a small dent on the front panel near the shutter release button and a few small marks here and there (I hope they show up in the photos) - And as well,
in Harry Fleenor’s pre-CLA check description he wrote - “Viewing lens has coating deterioration on front surface & fungi in between elements. Taking lens has scratches and marks on rear surface”.
I honestly can’t see any of this even with a flashlight, and I doubt you would either- but since Harry Fleenor said it, I’ll add it to the item description, however slight it might be. I want you to have as much info about this as possible.
It comes with a half case which is in very nice shape, a satin lens cap in beautiful condition to match the camera, a Rollei UV filter in leather case, also in great condition, a Heliopan neutral density filter, and an original brown strap in excellent condition. The lens shade I had bought later and is in less than excellent shape.
It has a dent in one of the corners and more wear to it. It is functional, doesn't look bad but I think you may want a nicer one in the future that matches the camera better.
